Thank you for expressing interest in learning more about Social Circle Christian School. Partnering with a school is a big decision for families, and our admissions team desires to be as available as we can to provide information and answer questions to help in that journey. Listed below are several steps that are necessary components of our application process for all prospective students Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Please understand that we will do our best to quickly assist your family through the steps in the process, but it may take as long as two weeks to complete. We will communicate with you via email as we maneuver through the steps together. Detailed information with financial information can be found by clicking the grade level tabs associated with this admissions page.
You are invited to visit our campus to see firsthand what makes SCCS a special place to learn, grow, and thrive. Our open house in February gives you the opportunity to meet our administrators, teachers, parents, and students as you learn about our academic programs and peek into classes. Private tours may also be scheduled anytime throughout the year.
If you have questions about Social Circle Christian School, wanting to ensure that we have availability, or interested in a tour, please click this inquiry link so that we can help:
Step 1- Submit an Application (click the link below) along with the required documentation (listed on the application and further down on this page). If standardized testing results from the previous year cannot be attained, a $40 fee will need to be paid for placement testing. A Family Statement of Faith and Pastoral Recommendation form is required before the application is considered for review and will be kept strictly confidential. The parents or legal guardians should complete their section, and then it should be completed by a Pastor at the church they are members of or regularly attend. If families are searching for a new church home, they may have a Pastor who has led them in his ministry in the past two years to provide a recommendation on their behalf. Families, please communicate with the Pastor completing this form prior to submitting it so they are aware. After receiving the application, we will immediately request copies of educational records from your child's current or previous school to be sent to ours for review.
Step 2- After all of the information and documents above have been received through the FACTS application portal, they will be reviewed by our administrative team to ensure the structure is in place for the academic success of your child. An email will be sent to share the results of our review or next steps in the process. Prior to moving to submitting application, parents should thoroughly read through the Parent-Student Handbook that can be viewed on the Parent Resources tab on our website. It is vital that families understand our guiding principles, philosophies, and procedures prior to making a decision to partner with SCCS.
Step 3- A pre-enrollment partnership conference will be held with the Principal and family to explore admission, discuss the review of our Parent/Student Handbook, and address any remaining questions.
Required Documentation- copy of parent/guardian photo ID, copy of student’s Birth Certificate, up-to-date Immunization Record, Ga DPH Form 3300 (pediatrician certificate for hearing/vision/dental for K5 and up), Family Statement of Faith, Pastoral Recommendation, documentation regarding a medical diagnosis that would require an altered educational plan or medication to be carried by the student (Benadryl, EpiPen, etc.), or legal guardianship paperwork showing proof of custody if applicable.
For entrance into any class a student must be of age by September 1st of current school year. (K2 students must be 2, etc.)
